Established by the Victorian government, AUSEN currently has 44
Australian member companies, representing a broad spectrum of oil
and gas industry specialists. In it's interactive environment,
AUSEN members can openly discuss current and potential project
activity, and trends in the oil and gas sector.
AUSEN membership often affords business opportunities that can
be unseen and unreachable as an individual enterprise, with the
group nurturing a close relationship with key government
departments and initiatives, in particular the state governments’
Industry Capability Networks(ICN) - a first-port-of-call for
purchasers, specifiers and procurers of equipment and services.
Through the group's ties with government industry departments,
AUSEN members are able to obtain assistance with R&D funding,
achieve representation with overseas trade delegations, and secure
government backing to participate in international exhibitions.
In addition, AUSEN has an associate membership of mechanical
contractors and consultants, enabling members to broaden their
contacts and enhance their knowledge of all aspects of oil and gas
and other energy industries. Details of these associates, and
others in their field, are listed on AUSEN’s extensive database,
which is available to all new members upon signup.
AUSEN's quarterly meetings are both lively and educational, with
discussion to leading successful business strategies, advice on
pitfalls, and the building of formal and informal alliances.
Although some members are in competition, the group recognises the
advantage to be gained from a group identity, and wanting to avoid
more contracts being awarded to offshore bidders.”
