NEW -NEW-NEW.
Slide Presentation from the May Networking Meeting.
Our speaker at the May 24th Networking Meeting was Mr Glenne
Drover, Director - Infrasucture, Department of Business and
Innovation.
Glenne spoke on future trends in energy generation and
distribution taking into account the challenges that will come with
the transition away from a carbon economy. In Victoria the
dependence on brown coal will have to be reduced while our
use of wind, gas, solar and other renewables must increase. He was
able to give us some indication of how we generate our energy now
and the changes contemplated as the government, and the
private sector, work on the plans to cover the immediate future and
the longer term for Victoria's energy needs.
It was a complex topic which he handled well using an
informative and, at times, equally complex Powerpoint presntation.
Glenne has kindly provided AUSEN with a copy of that Powerpoint
presentation. To see the full presentation click here.
